MeerDeur privacy and cookie statement

Please be aware that we and the other MeerGroup divisions (that is, Meer Gevelsystemen, Van der Meer International B.V. and DTC Holland B.V.) process personal data.

If you are one of our customers or a potential customer, we will use your data to send you a quote, to determine which specifications or requirements a specific issue or service must meet, to deliver items or to ensure we can perform activities for you, to invoice you and to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently about the execution aspects of the contract. We also use your data for sending service messages, to provide service and maintenance and to support actions to safeguard your safety and that of others.

If you are a supplier, potential supplier or other contractor, we use your data to let you know which specifications or requirements a specific issue or service should meet in our opinion, to send a quote request or to place an order, to pay your invoices and to ensure we communicate smoothly and efficiently about other aspects of the contract.

There is no obligation for you to give us your personal data. If you do not give us your personal data or if the personal data is insufficient, it is, however, possible that we cannot perform the activities specified in this statement.

Passing your personal data onto third parties

In relation to the execution of a possible contract with you, it is possible that we may have to give your personal data to parties that supply us with parts, materials and products or who perform activities at our instructions. We also use external server space for the storage of our sales and purchasing administration or parts thereof regarding which your personal data form a part of. Your personal data will therefore be given to our server space provider. To conclude, we use a newsletter mailing service and therefore your personal data is passed onto the provider of this service.

Direct marketing

If you regularly order from us, we will keep your specified personal data and use it to inform you personally in the future regarding our existing and new products and services and possibly to send you an offer. We have a legitimate interest in the use of your personal data for this goal, that is, make our products and services known and sell them. Every time we send you a marketing mail, you will have the option to let us know you do not wish to receive them anymore. See the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every mailing for this. If you have purchased from us once, we will only send you marketing messages if you have given us your consent for this in advance.

MeerDeur will not keep your personal data for longer than is necessary to realise the goals for which your data was collected.

Our website

The MeerDeur website uses cookies to ensure the best possible operation of the website. Cookies are small text files that are sent by our website and are placed on the hard drive of your PC by your browser. We use Google Analytics because we like to know how visitors use our website so that we can optimise the website’s use. Google cookies are therefore placed through this website. The information that is obtained this way is analysed by Google. The information is anonymised as best as possible: we cannot trace you personally. Google will only share the obtained information with third parties when Google is legally made to do so or insofar third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We as MeerDeur have not influence on this. Google is an American company. The collected information is stored on American servers. Google complies with the EU-US Privacy Shield principles. You can deactivate or delete cookies. This will not affect the operation of our website.

You are entitled to ask us to provide access to your own personal data. If there is reason to do so, you can also ask us to supplement your personal data or rectify incorrect data. In addition, you have the right to ask that your personal data be erased or restrict the use of your personal data.
